Session Overview

This session will explore the significant challenges faced by teacher education institutions in the State as they navigate evolving demands in the sector. Many colleges are struggling with the shift to longer and more comprehensive programmes, which require substantial adjustments to curricula and infrastructure. The pressure to meet new standards is particularly challenging for smaller institutions with limited resources. Faculty members often face limited opportunities for professional development, restricting their ability to innovate and stay current with emerging educational trends. The session will also address the impact of resource constraints, including inadequate technology integration and insufficient libraries that limit the effectiveness of teacher training. The goal of the session is to establish a strategic plan that will empower institutions to produce skilled, adaptable, and innovative educators for the future.
