This session will examine how Kerala can leverage its strengths to launch globally impactful science and innovation initiatives. By adopting successful global models—such as research clusters, science and technology parks, and innovation hubs—Kerala can enhance its role in scientific discoveries while maintaining international competitiveness. The session will also showcase Kerala's capacity to address major global challenges, including climate change, sustainable development, and healthcare, through research initiatives rooted in the local context. Strategies for forming partnerships with international institutions, accessing funding, and attracting top talent, particularly the academic diaspora, will be discussed. A detailed plan will be presented to strengthen the state's research environment, highlighting innovative funding approaches and closer academia-industry collaborations.
