Dr K. Ravi Raman, Expert Member, State Planning Board was formerly a Senior Fellow at the Nehru Memorial Museum and Library, New Delhi. He was also a Director, Institute of Applied Manpower Research, Planning Commission and a visiting fellow/honorary Associate in Oxford, Cambridge, Manchester and at SOAS, London for varying periods. He is the author of Political Ecospatiality; Livelihood, Environment and Subaltern Struggles from Cambridge University Press(2024); Kerala, 1956 to the present; India’s Miracle State (with Tirthankar Roy) from Cambridge University Press(2024); Global Capital and Peripheral Labour (Routledge, 2010/2012/2015); editor of Development, Democracy and the State: Critiquing Kerala Model of Development (New York and London: Routledge, 2010) and Corporate Social Responsibility: Comparative Critiques (with Ronnie Lipschutz) (Palgrave Macmillan, 2010).
He has contributed widely in top ranking journals including Harvard-Cambridge journals such as Business History Review and Cambridge Journal of Regions, Economy and Society.
